The First Gathering

The BeachClan patrol waited patiently at the top of the hill, waiting for the right time to join them. Driftwood watched as Darkstar took her place on top of a sandy hill. Sunpaw kneaded the sand anxiously, excited for his first gathering. Wavestripe stood patiently, fluffing out her fur against the cold. Driftwood fluffed out his pelt as well, he watched his breath billow up into tiny clouds. Leathertail sat quietly, watching through squinted eyes. Driftwood felt a sense of relief, maybe now their problems will finally be over, now that they are together again. Wavestripe signaled the group and they slipped into the hollow, her fur quivering under her soft pelt in the moonlight. She took a place next to the hill Darkstar was standing on, and waited for the arrival of TorrentClan and GaleClan.
